Glutamine effect in hormonal and inflammatory processes in KO mice with sepsis

The second project is in collaboration with the Clinical Chemistry Lab of the University of Crete . This collaboration expands mutual research interests on the role of immune-nutrition and hormonal (CRH KO mice) and inflammatory indices in animal models, including those which belong to the HPAA and chaperokines, on several physiological stressful situations such as the inflammatory stress and sepsis. For our studies lab personnel (lab responsible assistant professor Dr. M Venihaki) uses wild type and knockout mice (heat shock 70 and CRH), cell cultures and several techniques such as: 1) Molecular Biology techniques, 2) RNA isolation 3) Real-Time PCR and RT-PCR 4) Protein isolation, 5) Western blotting 6) EMSA 7) ELISA 8) FACS.
